The result updates as you change a field. Red means in force today, amber means a dated obligation you should be planning for, grey means it does not apply to this pack.

It will not tell you that you are compliant. It tells you which obligations apply and when — the assessment itself needs your data, and for recyclability grading it needs a delegated act that has not been adopted yet. Sector exemptions (medical, hazardous goods, some HORECA cases) are not modelled.
Two numbers you will be asked for.
How much recycled plastic you need to source, and whether a box passes the empty space cap. Both are indicative until the Commission's calculation methods are adopted.
Applies from 1 January 2030 or three years after the implementing act on the calculation method (due 31 December 2026), whichever is later. Exempt: compostable plastic packaging, plastic parts under 5% of the unit weight, certain medical, infant-food and dangerous-goods packaging (Art. 7(4)–(5)).
Indicative. The official calculation method comes in an implementing act due by 12 February 2028; the cap applies from 1 January 2030 or three years after that act, whichever is later. Sales packaging shipped as-is in e-commerce is exempt from the cap.
